Re: Best set with DiMarzio Tone Zone

I slapped some cash on a new pickup set for my USA strat the other week and I'm expecting the the last few pickups for the set to arrive pretty soon, so I'll record you a little clip when I get it all assembled and installed.

What I've ordered is A Tone Zone, an Area 58 and a PAF Joe for the neck.

I read numerous reports that the Blue velvet was THE single to buy for vintage tone, but I didn't want it to have a hum in pos 3, so I went for the Stacked Humbucker Area 58 having heard some really good things around the net.

As for the PAF JOE in the neck, I'm an air norton user in most of my guitars, but for the strat wanted a less compressed pickup with more top end and better definition. The Tubular sound tbh lol.

It's all getting wired through a Dimarzio Superwhich so that the bottom coil of the single is tunrned off in pos 4 and 2.

Like I stated before I'll post up a few clips from a few amps to give you a general idea ASAP

Re: Best set with DiMarzio Tone Zone

the tone zone is a very fat and full sounding bridge pickup. the PAF pro should match it well. it's a pretty hot neck pickup though. I'd also suggest the regular dimarzio paf.
