Breed(neck) Tone Zone(bridge)

Well, that is what the Dimarzio "pickup picker" has chosen for my RGT220A...

The TZ is good for me,have them on almost all of my other guitars and I like them...doesn't mean I won't try something new though.

The Breed in the neck is totally alien to me,never tried them so I wouldn't know what I would be getting into. This Prestige being my new "baby" I'd rather not be poking around in it too much, especially for swapping pick ups I don't end up liking....

Any opinions to make this Ash guitar really rip faces off?.........

Kyle.

I love the Breed Neck model, it's like the best of everything. About mid-way between a PAF-Pro and Air Norton.

I think it is not so great an idea and is going to sound extremely muddy. You've got two mid heavy, bassy pickups, with a low treble profile side by side. You're going to have almost no accents on your pick attack at all.

I'd strongly suggest coupling your TZ with a PAF Pro. Now, THAT is a dreamy combo that you won't regret (I say this from experience).

Well call me a millionaire then, that's what I just ordered!! Hahaha..

I hope the TZ works good as far heavy, driving rhythms go.
It has in the past with the others guitars have,in a few different woods too, so I am hoping it will compliment the brightness of the swamp-ash body.

Can't wait! Thanks all.

Re: Breed(neck) Tone Zone(bridge)

I just saw this post, and I have a project guitar that I made that is swamp ash back with 1/8" maple cap and a maple/maple neck (in another post). I'm putting in a Tone Zone bridge and Breed Neck. I have the Breed neck in my RG550 but with a Kramer maple/maple neck (thicker) rather than the Wizzard, and I love that pickup.

Just wondering what you think of that combo?
