Bypass Tone Pot with Fred?

I have read many threads concerning bypassing the tone pot.
It appears that the result is a brighter tone.

Has anyone bypassed the tone pot of a basswood body RG with Fred's or PAF Pro's?
Result?

I never use the tone pot, so the less wiring the better.
I tried it with a Tonezone...and the sound was fine (did not seem overly bright or harsh), but overall, I do not like the "tone" of the Tonezone.
Going with my gut--Fred and PAF.

Thanks,
Bob
