Chopper/Cruiser vs. YJM/HS-3 for Strat

I'm torn between a set of YJM/YJM/HS-3 (Bridge) or Cruiser/Cruiser/Chopper (Bridge).

The YJM/HS-3 set is basically what you get on the Yngwie Signature Strat. As much as I love Yngwie, I don't want to sound just like him. However, if out of this set I can get his earlier Ritchie Blackmore tone then that'd be something very desirable in my book. I haven't really been crazy about his tone since Trilogy.

The Cruiser and Chopper are both great pickups and I've heard they go great together.

If anyone can chime in and help me decide between these I'd be very grateful.

Look into a Cruiser/Cruiser/Fast Track 2 set.

Wouldn't that cause a significant drop in output at the neck position? The Fast Track 2's output is 321 and the Cruiser's is 140.

Yes, but you should realize that the neck slot is much louder than the bridge slot. You can also always adjust string height to match output, especially with rail-style pickups since I believe they don't deaden sustain as much as regular magnet single coils.

There's also the Fast Track 1, Chopper, and Pro Track, if you're into that.

I have the YJM, HS3 setup. The YJM in the neck is nice, full and warmer than a single coil. I hate the HS3 in the bridge. It's thin and doesn't sound good until the amp is cranked and a distortion pedal is pushing it.

I'd look at rail pups if you want more variety of tone.
