Coil split SD pickups and 1MEG push pull pot

I have an Ibanez AWD83 semi-hollow that I plan on swapping the pickups and coil splitting them. (stock PU : ACH1 & ACH2, 1 vol 1 tone) http://www.*******.com/item--IBAAWD83

Since Ibanez don't make semi hollows that only has one vol and one tone. I was wondering if anyone can give me heads up on what's to be expected. The new pickups are from a Yamaha AES 620, which includes a Seymour Duncan JB ! yay

I am about to purchase a 1MEG push pull pot. Assuming the original pots are 500K since they're humbuckers. What would be the best wiring set up? Some pointers or even diagrams would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance! =)

if you're using a 1meg pot, you do realise the guitar will be obscenely bright, yes? that value will change the sound of the guitar a lot.

Put isn't it true that when you turn it half way, the guitar will read the same as a pot that is 500K ?

Not unless it's a linear pot, which is non-logarithmic.
Here's a nice read on the difference between audio and linear taper pots, and what they do:

We have a SEARCH feature here at Jemsite. When used, an abundance of info will magically appear that will either answer your question, or point you in the right direction--this stuff gets asked and answered frequently.
Just t give you one little tip without spoon-feeding, visit seymourduncan.com and look through all of the wiring diagrams--you'll find what you seek. I agree that sticking with 500K pots would be best.
Here's the schematic for a 2 humbucker guitar with a three-way switch, one volume, one tone, and a push/pull:

difference is not drastic but can be noticed. It will also have a tad higher output

Re: Coil split SD pickups and 1MEG push pull pot

Just want to thank those who gave me advice on the 1 MEG push pull. I think i'm going to go with a 500K instead now!

I know it sounds stupid for me to ask for a recommended diagram. But it's just that there're so many variations. I did visit many websites (including the seymour duncan website) and found many diagrams. But I have no idea what each of the diagram does.

Actually since we are talking about that site, I saw a "2 humbuckers. 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way, 2 push/pulls" diagram. I guess i'm looking for resources that will tell me how things will sound like and what's best for what situation and all that.
