Color choices, argh this is killing me...

I've been trying to wrap my brain around this for a while now, as some of you know I HATE black pickups, and I can usually pick the right colors, but this twilight blue color is driving me nuts, nothing is going with it, the closest I can get is a set of blue/purples ala JPM (special order) or blue/black or black/purple. What do you guys think?

I think,

Bridge: bridge side black, neck side blue

Neck: bridge side blue, neck side black

That would look nice.

^That looks kinda hot... try changing the black to blue on the bridge pickup...
I'd suggest some creme in there. I dig this scheme as the creme would compliment the binding.

arg,.. is was going to scream "cream"... But someone beat me to it.

Would go nice with the binding. No zebra's, makes the guitar look too cluttered.

Well, it's tough with Ibbies because they always seem to have cosmic black hardware and matching the guitar overall is hard. I think cream would look great but, maybe not with the black hardware. I dunno, I think it looks nice, really nice, as is but i know you'll disagree, since I am in the minority on the site.

eg. I don't care too much for swirls or the ultrabright 80's color choices.

You know, at DiMarzio you can also get 'raw nickel' and 'polished nickel' tops. They're quite different than chrome. That may be something to check out. Apart from that, I also think creme would work.

Interesting to see how changing one detail, has such a big effect on the overall look of the guitar.

I like the purple/blue.

Yo Lefty Robb, I just finished watching your youtube review about the X2N and Tone Zone in the neck video. I searched Dimarzio on youtube cuz I'm looking to upgrade pickups too and found your video. Finished watching it and I log onto Jem site and I find you in the pickups section of the board haha. I think I'll be trying the Tone Zone in the neck too.
