Custom wiring HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi! Well, I'm planning to do something "special" with the wiring in my mahogany S470 and being a complete electronics NW I need your help. Here's the deal:

Pair of Evo's
Original AS1 sinclo pick up :S (planning to change this soon)
5 position selector
1 volume
1 tone

I want:

Position 1: Neck SERIES
Position 2: Neck PARALLEL
Position 3: AS1 ALONE
Position 4: Inner coils of both humbuckers (ala Petrucci)
Position 5: Bridge SERIES

QUESTIONS:

1: Is it possible to this with a standard 5 position Dimarzio switch, or will I need the multipole one?
2: Volume-->audio pot & Tone-->linear pot?

*IMPORTANT* I NEED A WIRING DIAGRAM TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS!!!!

I must say also that here in my country I can only get Dimarzio parts, so for the best quality possible I have to buy the Dimarzio products, COULD YOU PLEASE STATE EXACTLY WHAT DIMARZIO COMPONENTS SHOULD I BUY?

ALSO, there's no way of getting the multipole switch here in Argentina, the guitar shops don't bring it here and I can't buy it from the bay...soooo...if the wiring I want isn't possible to achieve with a standard 5 position Dimarzio switch, CAN I GET THIS WIRING WITH IT???

Position 1: Neck SERIES
Position 2: Neck PARALLEL
Position 3: Both Humbuckers
Position 4: Inner coils of both humbuckers (ala Petrucci)
Position 5: Bridge SERIES

This is a wiring like the one in the RGs with 2 humbuckers and 5 position switch (forget about the single coil hehehe)

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!! I'M REALLY DEPENDING ON YOU PEOPLE TO GET THIS RIGHT!!!!

You will need a multipole switch to achieve what you want. The closest you can get is probably with a 3-way switch and another switch to coil tap the pickups.

Re: Custom wiring HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi I've sorted out a circuit. I've used the Jem wire colours for the pickup leads, but you should be able to work it out (the grey lines correspond to white leads).

(full resolution at http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne...2133482&size=l)
You'll need a VLX91 switch which I have seen on **** or better still are available from Max at Cottam guitars (see advert at top, that's where I bought mine).
There's really only one switch but on the diagram it's been "folded open" like the Ibanez diagrams.

good idea, but why not a serie/split/parallel switch for each PU (Bridge and Neck) ?
You 'll get a lot of combinations and can test the one(s) you prefer

Or replace Vol and tone pots by pots with switch (aaargh don't know how they are called by W Shakespeare !) perhaps push-pull pots ?...
for a parallel/serie combination

Re: Custom wiring HELP PLEASE!!!

I will love to have that switch...but I won't replace vol and tone knobs, I use them A LOT, and no more vol push-pull (I have one installed now in that guitar, it does series-parallel with the neck pickup), I use so much the volume that it always brokes down on me...not enough room also to put one in the tone pot, it's an S...THANKS FOR THE INPUT AND HELP!
