Debate: Steve's Special, Super Distortion, or Evolution?

Okay, I'm trying to put a guitar together here, and have decided on an H-S-H routing scheme. I have recently fallen in love with the sound of the PAF Pro and will no question use that in the neck slot; it does exactly what I want, amazing cleans but handles distortion well. I'm going with a Blue Velvet in the middle slot as I do a lot of blues stuff. Now, the bridge slot (for me) is up in the air between these three. I'm not sure what to go with, but I'm definitely leaning towards a Steve's Special out of the three (I love Petrucci's tone on "Damage Control"). But, I might choose the Evolution for it's mids or the Super Distortion for balance.

I play just about anything save for easy listening and hip-hop, mostly all rock forms (classic, alternative, hard, progressive, etc.), blues, some jazz, a TAD of classical (not neo, just classical), funk/motown, and things similar to those styles, but mainly the rock and blues. I want a pickup that can go fairly hot (about metal) but can clean up nicely. I love Strat bell-like tones, but always felt the bridge needed more meat and am looking for almost the bell-like tone with a little LP-style bass end. Think Jeff Beck on "You Had It Coming" (if you haven't heard it, amazing album). Using the sound clips on DiMarzio's website (yeah, they're not the best, but helps give me an idea), I've narrowed it down to these three, but just can't decide. I was at the point where i was considering another PAF Pro, but need hotter. Even considered a Breed, but not 100% sure it's what I want.

Okay, sorry for the long rant, but how do you think the pickups sound and which do you prefer and why? Details please

For me steve special is cool... but it is not what your description says you are looking for, INHO you should get a NORTON.

I don't think Evo is the way to go neither...it's not that versatile and it isn't that good with cleans...for what I've read here I also think Norton would be the best choice

Norton....

Of course it might depend on your setup too.

D-Sonic is a Steve`s Special Evolution kinna tone but I like the Evo2 the best and it will balance with your PAF Pro

Okay, from what I've read, I'm now between a Super Distortion, Breed, and Evo2.

Norton's good, but I'm not sure if it'll do cleans as well as I want it to. I'm really leaning towards the Breed here.

Steve's Special is an AWESOME pickup. I absolutely love it. If you decide to go for that, you will not regret it.

I'd say to go with either the Breed or the D-Sonic.
