Re: DiMarzio AT1?
Where are you guys getting these prices?
I ordered one a couple of weeks ago (in my hand now), and it was the same price as any other DiMarzio.

Are you saying you bought an AT1? Price you paid? Installed it yet? Review? Spill it brother.

Re: DiMarzio AT1?
It is sitting in the box waiting for me to drop it in.
I can't post what I pay for pups, but the cost was the same as the Tone Zone, HFH, and Air Norton that I bought at the same time.
I think MAP is $65.

Re: DiMarzio AT1?
Jaden my brother, please hit us with a review when you drop one into an axe. I know some people say "just listen to timmons", which I do (in fact he's my favorite guitarist of all time
), but nonetheless hearing a peer review would be great.

Re: DiMarzio AT1?
yes I will, I feel that living with the AT-1 will not be as easy as slapping in a PAF pro..
the only problem with any review on a pickup is that its so dependant on the player and their gear. I wire most of my pickups in parallel now because the pick attack sounds better and the pickup has more clarity plus im using more and more vintage output stuff so that I can crank the amp and get more sustain..
I dont know what to expect from the AT-1 but im a big fan of breeds so I shoudl like it really
if I get round to slapping one in a guitar I will let you know, the next pickup selection for one of my own guitars was going to be PAF 36th's or mo' joe / paf joe combo, th next pickups im fitting to a guitar I make to sell will be d activators... looking forward to those in mahogany

Re: DiMarzio AT1?
Hoping to have mine in the guitar by the end of the week.
It's going in this guitar, it should compliment the Cool Rail very well.

Re: DiMarzio AT1?
Installed and I'm not sure I can live with it. It's very LOUD, and very "barky". It seems to have a real midrange spike. I'm guessing around 500k. I had to lower it to about a half inch away from the strings to get it the same volume level as the Cool Rail in the neck. It's tight, tonaly, would cut through the mix. I expected it to be a bit more spongy. I'll play with it some more before I make a decision and see if it grows on me. Even with the coil tap, it doesn't thin out much.

One thing I can say about the AT-1. It's a guitar solo'ist pickup!
