They would be a good choice for a Maple guitar. They are round and smooth and will soften off and even out any abrasive high end.
If you chose Maple for screaming harmonics and a bright cutting pick attack sound, then you would be doing the opposite with the Breeds. For that, many people like a JB in Maple with 250k pots (sort of an old Kramer recipe) or a Custom, a
Tone Zone, or some other pickup that isn't as fat in the midrange. Either way the Breed neck should be fine, but the bridge will be really smooth and warm. I have an old Tone Zone (different than most for a couple reasons) and an Air Classic Bridge in the neck of my Maple bodied guitar. They're good in there, but they will soon be replaced. I will put in an
Allan Holdsworth Duncan, (basically a sweeter JB) and probably an Alnico II Pro or 59N in the neck. Frankly I've grown a little tired of the TZ hiding a lot of the "mapleyness" of the guitar. I want the hard, cutting Maple sound to come through and right now it isn't. The Breed would be even worse. I'll put the TZ in some basswood superstrat or something.
So in summary, think about why you chose a Maple body and there's your answer.
