Dimarzio coil tap wiring help! Diagram included

Hey guys


Can someone "Connect the dots" for me on this diagram



I need to know what legs of the volume and tone are connected to the base alse, you know how theyre usually bent back a bit?

Volume is a push pull dimarzio pot.

White wires have been shown in blue !

My soldering iron heats ...

Also , there are 3 legs on the jack socket, 1 is smaller and the other 2 are the same height . I had emgs in before so i understand it is a stereo jack , and to wire up the dimarzios means only using 2 pins?

That diagram doesnt have the push pull dimarzio volume pot i have , like with a box on it and an extra 6 pins! Im pretty lost !

infact im not sure if its a true velvet S , or just a normal one! it has a black and a white wire . The diagram i drew is indenticle , 5 way switch , 1 500k tone , 1 push pull volume pot - i left out the capacitor by accident.

Do you reckon you could join the lines for me in colour on ms paint and upload it here?

I just tipped every wire with solder, so im ready to go , just no clue what to do !

What legs of which pots get bent back to the base?
Which pegs of the jack do i use?
And on the push pull , it has the box on the base so i cant solder wires to the base as usual - do i solder to the side of the unit or the base of the actual 6 pin box ?

forgive me for the "spider-web" diagram but this is how I have my 760 wired for coil tap :P hopefully this makes sense!

Have you emailed Dimarzio? In my experience, they are incredible at getting back to you with diagrams of what you need. I once needed a diagram for a flying V with two Virtual PAF's with a push/pull on the tone for coil split. Within the day I had my printable diagram in hand. They are great- use them!

Gah !

Spent 8 hours in all with numerous attempts and no luck!

So i had to admit defeat and head to the guitar shop and let a friend there do it for me!

Now ive no guitar atall and my amps just sitting looking at me !
