Question

"DiMarzio Custom 7"?

I tried to use the search but received approx. 500 results of something completely different i'm looking for so I created a new thread.
I'm about to buy a pickup to the bridge position and one guy offered the one in the title. I checked DiMarzio's website and it didn't exist there, so far i don't have any kind of info/description about this. The seller said it's the original pickup in his Ibanez RG2077XL. Could you help me and describe it with your own words, give me a link or directly paste the description?

Cheers

Re: "DiMarzio Custom 7"?

I think you're looking for the DiMarzio Blaze Custom. www.dimarzio.com then go to "7-String" at the bottom, and it'll be listed. I can't post a direct link because DiMarzio's site is flash based.

Re: "DiMarzio Custom 7"?

I'm not meaning blaze custom here. http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/us/2001/01015.jpg there is an ibanez rg1077xl which might have similar pickups to the one I'm being sold. I guess it's something that can be compared to dimarzio/ibz pickups.. Since when Ibanez guitars have had "real" pickups when they leave from the factory.
Problem solved (probably).

Re: "DiMarzio Custom 7"?

Made by Dimarzio solely for Ibanez, the "Custom 7" was renamed the "New 7". They are not Blazes, or Blaze Customs, but they are 'real' DiMarzios.
