DiMarzio D-Sonic

Hey guys.

I've been dying to check this pick up out. Do any ofyou guys have this p/u in any of your guitars, or have you tried it? I'm really thinking of swapping my Evo out for one of these, but I'm a little skeptical of losing the ability/ease of getting harmonics with the the Evolution.
I've been writing alot in Dropped D, and I just want the chords to be a little more articulate, yet remain ungodly heavy and noisy, if that makes any sence lol, (think LostProphets, or YellowCard)

Any and all input is appreciated.

Thanks, Nick

things should be fine in drop D tuning. The D-Sonic is said to be good for really low tunings (think B or C) and still remain articulate. just standard drop D or C# should be fine for a normal pickup. If you still wanna get it then go for it. I have heard equal amounts of good and bad things. Some say it's a 1 trick pony, others say it's just what they wanted.
