Hey guys looking to get some reviews from you all here before I decide to purchase one of these bad boys. I will be using this pickup primarily for rock and heavy metal with a gauge of strings no heavier than 11-48. In your experiences which body wood works best well with this pickup and which do you guys prefer the bar to the bridge or the screws to the bridge. I am aware that they have different sounds but I would like to get your 2 cents. My tuning will be a whole step down D-G-C-F-A-D and no lower than that. Does the D-Sonic work best with mahogany, alder, basswood, 22 or 24 frets?

well i suggest you do a forum search , there have been a couple of really informative disscussions over the d-sonic some failry recent, anyways you turn up most of the info your after .
