I'm so glad they made a smaller version of the Air Norton. I mean, I'm pissed because now I have to swap out the chopper I just bought, but I'm glad I'll be getting what I want in the end

I was going to say, the Chopper is nothing like the Air Norton. Why did you choose that particular pickups if the Air Norton was unavailable at the time? Heck, the Pro Track would have been a slightly better choice. Just curious, that's all.

The sound clip on the DiMarzio site sounded like something I would've liked. The pickup unfortunately sounds nothing like it though (At least not in this guitar it doesn't). No articulation, or high-end to speak of (And this is in an Ash bodied guitar).

Both Evo and Chopper will both be coming out of said guitar, hopefully sooner than later. I'm not happy with either of them.

Interesting. Did you put it in the neck position of your guitar?

I bought a Chopper for the middle position in one of my PGMs. I'll find out in a few months (after the guitar gets refinished) what is sounds like in a basswood body guitar.

Indeed it is in the neck position.

Might not sound bad in the bridge position of a trem guitar, but in the neck position of a stop tailpiece, arch-top, super-strat; HELL NO.

Well, the Chopper probably won't sound any worse than the stock Jem single coil.

It'll be up for sale soon

This blows, I just dumped on pickups and work, and now I need to do it all over again

How long ago did you purchase it? Dimarzio does have a 30 day return policy. You can get the details off of their website.

Received it as a Christmas present hence have no receipt, packaging is unfortunately gone as well. Pretty much up the creek.

Hopefully I'll be able to turn them both around without taking too much of a hit. Live and learn I suppose.
