Dimarzio HH wiring 5 way switch

I know that itwa sprobably asked a million times, but I wasn't able to find the answer using search, google, or pickups resource thread.

I replace stock V7V8 in my RGA121 with Air Norton / TZ.
I have a schematic from Ibanez, but Ibanez and Dimarzio colour coding does not match. The pickups don't work as they are supposed to.

Can somebody point me to Dimarzio-specific wiring diagram, for HH / 5 way switch configuration (neck hb - neck parallel - hh - coil split neck+bridge - bridge)

thank you

Check out the wiring thread that's a sticky in this sub forum.

Yes it's been asked heaps of times, and if you have a look through the links there you'll find what you need.

Re: Dimarzio HH wiring 5 way switch

The diagram was right there at Ibanez.com in the wiring diagrams section:

Now, just substitute the wires for DiMarzio color codes found in that sticky:

Go to the sticky thread--the diagram is in there in one of the links. Try guitarelectronics.com link.

I give up.I can't find it.

It's either guitarelectronics' 2 humbuckers 2 vol and 3 way blade switch
or dimarzio's 2 humbuckers with 2 vol push pull for splits 3 way blade switch

and I don't want the super switch.I have ibanez 5 way switches. One is ym-50 that I believe I read somewhere that I can convert to 3 way.

You're going to have to use parts of different diagrams--find the one you need with 1 vol, then just add another vol for the other pickup. Or, use the diagram for 2 humbuckers, 2 vol, 2 tone--then remove the 2 tone pots.

Re: Dimarzio HH wiring 5 way switch

So not to create another post for a tired topic, I decided to reply to this one as it's related.
I bought a Dimarzio Fred to replace the stock INF2 bridge pickup in my S570DXQM. I'm planning on replacing the neck INF1 as well, but can't afford it yet. I've never liked the sound of the single coil (noisy) so I disconnected it. So I was looking to wire the 2 pups in a HH configuration. The 5-way switch is the stock "5P" Ibanez. I tried several different wiring methods all with strange results including this last one which I think I'm keeping for now. I do not have the 330pF cap on the vol pot as in the image. I can't post images yet so it's missing the http..

i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb186/slickrat18/S570DXQM-HH.jpg

I don't mind the "kill" action on the 2nd (or 4th depending which is 1) switch, it comes in handy for practices. What I do mind is when I test the Fred pup with a screwdriver, the back row closest to the bridge is much more sensative than the front and I don't think they are both firing to their fullest. Any ideas anyone?
Rick
