Dimarzio install! Which way is upside down?

OK, misplaced the directions, how do you know if the pickup is right side up, as in not installing the pup upside down

Depends on the pickup. Which pickup, and what orientation (neck or bridge)?

For all pickups that are NOT dual resonance (check dimarzio's website, under the pickup's specs look for patent number 4,501,185 means the pickup is dual resonance), orientation will not make a difference.
