Dimarzio, Nuff Said

Malmsteen
Vai
Satch
Greg Howe
Richie Kotzen
Paul Gilbert
Petrucci
Steve Moorse

I like when SD people bash Dimarzio, seems to me the best play the best. Did I miss anyone?

I'm a Dimarzio fan... only used Dimarzio.

But out of curiosity, what does SD have for their artiste roster?

Re: Dimarzio, Nuff Said

Hmm...Well, these are the ones I can think up right now.

Slash
Dime (well, used to anyway)
George Lynch
Jennnifer Batten
Frank Gambale (currently)
Nuno Bettencourt
Randy Rhoades
Scott Ian
Dave Mustaine
Stephen Carpenter

Satch uses them too (Pearly).

I don't get why someone uses brand X and bashes brand Y for well, being not as good as brand X. It's personal taste, and not two people are the same. Hell, Alexi Laiho has an EMG-HZ in his ESP, and a lot of people (including many ESP users) consider them to be crap. But he likes them, and I can't argue with that . I like both Dimarzios and SDs, but I'm not too sure about EMGs. I don't bash them though.

Yeah, I remember that the kids back in high school with the Dimarzio Tshirts were much more cool too.

Re: Dimarzio, Nuff Said

What I think is funny, is that everyone there from Nuno to Paul Gilbert was at their peak over 10 years ago. Apart from maybe Benji Madden

Mind you, guitar sounded better back then didn't it?

But apart from teh aforementioned Mr Madden, who is an endorser for pickups these days? I don't mean the old timers, I mean who in the new crowd actually warrants or even WANTS a pickup deal. Does it matter to the new guys? Can they even tell the difference?

Do you mean peak in terms of playing or popularity?

Well in endorsement terms, it's only really popularity that counts anyway

Re: Dimarzio, Nuff Said

Dimarzio has a very modern sound compared to SD, thats why I like them.

That said, are all retail Dimarzios made in USA? Just curious.
