Dimarzio P-90 SuperDistortion?

Does anyone have experience with this pickup? Or any of the other Dimarzio soapbar shaped pickups?

I used to have a traditional humbucker SuperDistortion in a Roadstar many years ago and it sounded great.

I just bought a JS700, and thought I would replace the P-90s with humbuckers. Rather than modifying the body to take the pickups, now I'm thinking I would just get these soapbar shaped humbuckers. But, I haven't heard much about them other than the spec sheet at the Dimarzio website.

I have that pickup in a solid body guitar and LOVE IT. P90 super distortion in the bridge and Seymour Duncan SP90-1N in the neck. I've had all makes of the super distortion. Regular humbucker in my les paul, and the tele version in my tele. The P90 is every bit as good as the humbucker. You will have no issue by putting this pickup in your guitar. I don't like the seymour duncan in the neck, I'll probably be changing that out to a stacked something, but the Dimarzio P90 is fantastic.

Just for closure ... I wound up getting the P-90 Super Distorion (DP209) and a Dimarzio DLX Plus Neck (DP162) and put them into my JS700 last night. I was fortunate and got them used on the auction site for about half of what they would cost new. They sound great! Anyone with a JS700 that wants to beef it up a bit, I would recommend them.
