Dimarzio pickup colors not matching?

I've heard that the colors of the Dimarzio single coils don't always match those of the humbuckers... Specifically the pink ones.

Any truth to this? I need to know because I'm probably about to buy some in pink and I don't want to be wrong.

That's odd. Some of them match a lot better than others.

Could it have something to do with the YOP?

Re: Dimarzio pickup colors not matching?

the humbuckers will match, the single may not be the same exact colour although it will be pink.
I posted these images a while back in another thread..

I put the VSK together and the FP is a googled image.

its a fact that pink is going to show the colour difference more, its not as noticeable in green for example.

Re: Dimarzio pickup colors not matching?

I would expect the bottom one to be the norm, I got lucky with the match on the VSK.

has anyone seen the PGM100 re-issue ? those humbuckers are not matched perfectly with the singles.

I recently purchased a mo joe and HFH both in green and they were very different in color. The mo joe was the usual bright green, but the HFH was a little darker and somewhat dull.

Avi, thats simply very poor selection on his part, colours cant be guaranteed between batches but if the vendor had selected pickups from the same batch or even looking at the ones he did select before he sent them then you should get a match.
this is just an example of a poor reseller who has no empathy or appreciation of what his cusomers are trying to achieve with the product.

sorry to see that mate,

J.

Re: Dimarzio pickup colors not matching?

It was not a big deal, at least now I know the reason.

Thanks for clearing that up.
