DiMarzio Super Distortion experts please.

Looking around in my parts box, I found this PU given to me in 1991 or so. Dude claimed it was a SD, so I marked it as such and forgot about it, till now. Since there are no markings to indicate what it is, anyone have a SD from around then who can verify or debunk that this is a SD? Here are a couple of pics. Thank you.

Hey, look, it's got Dimarzio Super Distortion written on a bit of sticky tape on the base - that must be what it is......

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Check the impedance against what Dimarzio states an SD should be on their website - that might be a clue. I suspect the only thing Dimarzio ever do is put a DP number on the base of the pickup, and I'm not sure they even bothered with that a few years ago........

It kinda does look like a Super Distortion to me. If you don't get any answers here, try dimarzioforum.com
