Dude bought me a brand new

I have the coolest best friend.
So now my query;
I could either put in in my 1988 RG570 that I tune to standard. Or I could put it in my new frankenstein RG that I have no idea what it is, but its heavier (weight) than my 570, and I tune drop D and 1/2 step down.
I am also thinking of wiring it with the 'dual sound with single-coil switching' option they have in its instructions. It will require a DPDT switch though.
What do you guys think I should do?
