Dimarzio's for ibanez

Hi,
lately i've had some money to spend from a government stipend but I cant spend it anywhere.luckily a music shop accepts the smartcard and I decided to buy another dimarzio for my Ibanez. currently it has the dimarzio/IBZ pups and their v.good but I wanted to try something else just to see whats out there(and to spend the money which expires in june lol). so what do you guys reccomand from experience cos in my 8 yrs playin i never changed pups, always used the ones that came with the guitars(and I'm happy with the dimarzio/IBZ)?? I tought evoII or steve morse maybe(BTW I want a bridge pup) I like the 70's and 80's shred and that trebly glam rock guitar sound (randy rhoads twisted sister jake e lee and many others) I dont like them muddy(EMG's are always out of question for me cos they shoot mud out of their asses).I was told that you have to go with the natural sound of the wood of the guitar and if the wood is trebly a trebly pup is in order. I tought about the evoII cos their trebly and from what I read a well defined and articulate sound(what i want) any ways please reply and talk from personal experiance please not from what uve heard!! thanks a lot guys keep playin!!!!

What? Any particular reason? I can't think of any reason this would be the case.

I've always thought the Tone Zone was muddy, in any guitar I've tried it in, trem or no trem, but that's just my ears talking

Re: Dimarzio's for ibanez

ok so lets say tone zone is ruled out because of muddyness....what about evoII or steve morse........or maybe PAFs (heard the PAFs are not that heavyish....maybe more blusey??) as I told above I'm into the evoII cos 1.their rated good 2.because as i told the guitar is trebly(the wood combination) and also the evoII are trebly pups so they'l make a good combo......I'd be going with the grain......

Definitely Evo2! Give it a try. Tone zone is muddy.

Re: Dimarzio's for ibanez

OK.I think i'll try evoII but will it make a difference from the dimarzio/IBZ pups I have now or will it be one of those ''oh what a waste of money the sound remained the same''??
