Does this green Dimarzio AZ look alright?
I bought a green Air Zone from a fellow Jemsite member. I really wanted to try an AZ and got a really good deal on this one. At first I was thinking I could paint it or put a black bobbin topper on it. Now I'm thinking it doesn't look too bad. What do you think?

Re: Does this green Dimarzio AZ look alright?
I think it looks a bit out of place, unless you added some other green (ie: pups/knobs/switch)
IMHO
But it doesn't look THAT bad!

Re: Does this green Dimarzio AZ look alright?
Well.........it certainly stands out
I'm going to contradict myself here
Yes it does look weird and out of place,
but.............................it also gives a cool focal point too
Its certainly different

Get some green knobs/caps! THEN it would look good
, oh yeah, and a cosmo Edge would make it looks better IMO.
To tell you the truth, I think white pickups would be best though.

Re: Does this green Dimarzio AZ look alright?
I think it would look muuuuuucccch better in my FA.
As JJEMMER777 said, it wouldn't look as bad if you had the matching knobs, switches and other pups. Though, if i had a white guitar green pups wouldn't have been my choice.

No, I don't like it at all - it draws your eye directly to the pickup.

I think it looks great as it is! i wouldn't change a thing. i think the contrast of the black, white, and then the driving force of your guitar, the
bridge pickup
standing out is awesome. IMHO.

Is that a 550 with an OFR or an old 350 or ...?
I think get more green pups and yellow knobs.

It's a 450 with a TRS-101 (like an OFR) It was a project, I repaired a major body crack and refinished it. It's really a great guitar now.

Re: Does this green Dimarzio AZ look alright?
It doesn't aesthetically match the rest of the guitar, but mismatched pickups give the "workhorse" look that has a niche of coolness all on its own.
