Dysfunctional 3-way switch...

Haloo !!!!!!!!
i hope everyone is doing well
The three-way switch in my Schecter C-7 has always given me problems, and i'd like to know how to fix it. { keep in mind it's a 3-way toggle switch-- like an Ibanez AX has, or a Les Paul }
Here's what it does : Whenever you flick it to the '1' or '3' position, it'll flick itself back into the '2' position. It's like something just isn't tight enough or something. I took it out and looked at it last night, but to my untrained eye, i couldn't tell what was wrong with it.
So what can i do to fix it?
Thanks a bunch,
`^`Ben`^`

Those kinds of switches aren't terribly expensive... i'd probably just replace it with a better-quality one.
