EMG help
ok, so I wired my emg up and everything,
Big hum until I put the battery in, and then it is quiet,
No noise,
at all,
Even when I play a string,
Is this a wiring issue or what?

Probably. A picture or other description of how you have it wired might help.

Re: EMG help
Ahk,
I have the red wire from the pickup wired straight to the batterie's red wire(as Seymour Duncans site had told).
Then the black wire from the battery is in the left ring on the input Jack. The white wire from the pickup goes into the 1st ring on the pot. The second ring on the pot goes to the tip on the input Jack. Then the bare wire from the pickup goes onto the pot. And the ring farthest right on the pot is soldered to the top of the pot and then I ran a wire to the sleeve of the output Jack from the soldered pot ring.
Whoops I think I actually might have accidentally mixed up two wires on Seymour duncans schematic.
I've also realizes that if I turn the volume up a bit, there is a small hum.
I'm scared to go back in and try again. Lol

Re: EMG help
If you are installing EMGs it would probably be wiser to get a schematic from the EMG site, and not use a Seymour Duncan schematic. Different brands of pickups use different colour codes for their wiring from time to time.
