EMG noob question

Just about to pull the trigger on a Godin Redline. It has the EMG 81 in the bridge and the 85 in the neck.

Can I switch them around by just unplugging them and plugging them back in?

Also, If I wanted to swap the 81 in the bridge for the 81X is it just swap them out and plug the new one in?

Thanks

EMG noob.

Re: EMG noob question

Assuming it uses the EMG solderless connection you should be able to swap them without any issue.

Re: EMG noob question

I'm not sure if these do have the solderless I would only assume they do if they're a brand new build.

thanks for the info.

Re: EMG noob question

I'll bet you can. I think anything new will have the solderless connections.

Where in Nebraska are you from?

Re: EMG noob question

Yes you can, and the 85 in the bridge sounds so much smoother than the 81. I used to use a dual 85 combo...and now its up for sale in the classifieds
