Evo Neck?

Hey guys...
I'm starting to find my Humbucker From Hell lacking paired up with my Tonezone. First, its DC resistance is so much lower than the TZ, that on middle position (H-H) the tone is just totally the HFH! And I have a coil split switch so I find it redundant with the HFH.

Now, i'm looking at something slightly higher output with good dynamics. I've tried the Breed neck and I thought that was cool, good power but it does mud out sometimes.

How does the Evo neck fare, tonally and dynamics-wise?

I like it bright and cutting with good clarity... if possible, good harmonics!

I have just put the evo neck into a dt350 (x series), and I absolutely love it.

Very controllable, and great dynamics.

Re: Evo Neck?

The neck evo is the best neck pickup I've played. It is not harsh at all, has good clairity, but still has some warmth to it. It sounds great for everything from shred to jazz.

Very good description Shep.
Thinking about how much I love my neck Evo, I may use it in the neck of my new guitar with a Breed in the neck instead of duel Breeds.

Re: Evo Neck?

In some ways, after playing with an evo, I now understand what they were trying to acheive with the v series humbuckers. I suppose if you think of those as a budget evo then they don't seem as bad as all that.

But evo neck is definately one of the best, if not the best that I have used.
