Evolution Pickup Orientation

Has anybody experimented with flipping the pickups? The Dimarzio site says Evolution pickups' tone is affected depending on orientation. And does this apply for the Evo2 as well? I need to make sure the luthier installing my pickups knows.

Re: Evolution Pickup Orientation

Sorry, I couldn't help it...Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it too much, just as long as you have enough slack in the wire, you can flip it around at will and see which you like. Some people claim that it makes a huge difference. For me, it's noticeable on SOME pickups.
Good Luck,
Brad
