Evos parallel

Hi all,

Has anyone wired Evos in parallel? Is there a big difference in sound? I'm thinking of modding my 7VWH, adding two switches (one for each PU) so I can switch from Parallel to Series.

The sound should be quite different (I've not tried so I don't know if it's good or bad!) but you have to remember when you coil tap the evos, in series mode (normal) one coil is shorted out, in parallel mode one coil is disconnected. If you don't get this correct then positions 2 and 4 will turn off your guitar in parallel mode!

I have a push-pull pot on my S470 which does the series/parallel trick on an Evo neck...pretty sweet for cleans, I really don't like it that much on distorted tones, but it will certainly add some versatility to the guitar
