Evos vs Breeds

Hey guys I was just wondering which set is better. I'm looking for like a "for the love of god" Vai type of sound, lots of sustain, highs, and harmonics. I have an rg350mye that I'm going to put them in, it's basswood.
Thanks

Re: Evos vs Breeds

I'd go for Evo's.

Although the DiMarzio site compares the Blaze bridge pickup to the Steve's Special.

Though to be honest, I don't know whether the track was recorded with a JEM (which at the time would have likely had PAF Pros) or a Universe (with the Blaze).

It was recorded with the UV(blaze pickups), there are a few parts where you hear the low B-string played. But this song sounds good with the Evo 7 on my RG7620, so I'd say Evo is still a good way to go for this song.

Ok. Based on any of your personal experiences, how do evolutions work for you?

Re: Evos vs Breeds

I like the evo. I just replaced the evo in my 550 for a paf pro tho. I think it is much more versatile than the evo.

See I'm the other way, I think Breeds sound bland compared to Evo's. I've got 4 Evos in various guitars and 0 breeds.

BS! my HAM sounds great and I've never heard anyone complain about the 10th's tone either.
