Fast Track 2 as middle pickup

Hey guys,
Have any of you compared the power output of a Fast Track 2 with the V7/8 series of pickups? Is it a big volume difference?

I just bought the Fasttrack 2 from Vaijem777, and I'm planning for it to be in the middle position of my RG.

Also, how does one connect a 4-wire pup to the standard RG switch to get parallel neck-mid and bridge-mid (full on humbuckers) on positions 2 and 4 (or 4 and 2, as the case may be)?

Thanks

Not really, if there is any then I didn’t hear the diff… I have this pickup in the mid position of my RG 560, it gives that inherent ‘smooth’ dimarzio tone under high gain.

the wiring is easy.

I have a Virtual2 in the middle position of my Jem. I don't remember the exact colors, but you just end up not connection a couple of them.

Call DiMarzio - their support is fantastic and you'll have your answer within seconds. I recommend calling them whie you have the guitar open.

oh...wait a minute...you bought the pickup from chris? never mind - it probably doesn't work anyway
I'm kidding of course.

PS Any middle pickup will sound better than a stock Ibanez single coil...gotta get you some good humbuckers next

Thanks Kennydoe

I'm thinking of Breeds, or SD/S2. Actually already ordered but decided that for my talent level probably V7/8 are still okay, so cancelled anyway.
