for you "pot-heads"

what do you call a pot the has a center postion that is neutral and when you turn it clokwise it could be set up to go through one type of compasitor but then when you turn it back the other way past the neutral point it would go to another compasitor and who knows where i could get one ive seen the dual knobs like two in one types liek some basses have but that wont relly give the effect i need

Re: for you "pot-heads"

They're just regular linear pots with a center detent(a notch in the middle). You can realistically use any pot and rig it up with two different capacitors on each side for the effect you want. If you want to try something with more options you can always wire up a Varitone circuit (essentially a 5-6 way rotary switch with different caps on each position. Most schematics on the net make use of a master resistor and/or a master inductor, but you don't actually need that).
