Getting hum from Dimarzio Breeds

I just installed dimarzio breeds (neck and bridge) on my RG and I'm getting hum when I use my amp's lead channel (Marshall TSL 602).

I've properly grounded all three pups to the volume pot. I'm not sure if this is normal with breeds because they're so hot. I'm contemplating shielding my pickguard using aluminum foil tape. Not sure if this will work though. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this....

Re: Getting hum from Dimarzio Breeds

I have breeds in my JS-100 and have never experienced humming. Shielding might help. Do your other guitars hum with that amp? Perhaps it is not the guitar but the amp or cable? Just a thought. Good luck.

I don't get hum from my other guitar (Hwy 1 tele with Dimarzio Chopper T and Area t). I'll try shielding then, and will let you know how that goes. How do you like the breed neck?

I like both neck and bridge breeds a lot. The neck pickup to me is very smooth.

bro, i shielded my pickguard and it worked well. I still find the neck breed too hot though. I might try a paf joe or paf pro.

I have it grounded to the volume pot. Is this the right way of grounding it?
