Re: Got My Evo!!

basswood and don't bash me on basswood being a bad wood for an evo, if some jem's are made with basswood and evo's they can't sound that bad.

Re: Got My Evo!!

not very proper of a comparison but it's neck pu then to evo. All the settings are the same as the one's on the boss test one.(I played pretty bad in this evo thing hah) http://www.soundclick.com/bands/song...songID=5232969

I had a Alder Jem and a Basswood RG with Evo's, I actually like them in the RG better. They are warmer sounding, took some of the shrillness of the highend. Still love the Jem, but the basswood is a very balanced tone wood.

Re: Got My Evo!!

well now that i hear how damn good this thing sounds i want to replace my other pickups, what do you guys suggest? I was thinking of doing an evo neck but then again i don't want to make my guitar vai'd out thats for when i get a jem But my dad suggested one of those dual blade middle pickups, because he had a G&L Invader with a dual blade middle, I know dimarzio makes different kinds and I dont really know my pickups
