Re: Got My Evo!!
basswood and don't bash me on basswood being a bad wood for an evo, if some jem's are made with basswood and evo's they can't sound that bad.

Re: Got My Evo!!
not very proper of a comparison but it's neck pu then to evo. All the settings are the same as the one's on the boss test one.(I played pretty bad in this evo thing hah)

I had a Alder Jem and a Basswood RG with Evo's, I actually like them in the RG better. They are warmer sounding, took some of the shrillness of the highend. Still love the Jem, but the basswood is a very balanced tone wood.

Re: Got My Evo!!
well now that i hear how damn good this thing sounds i want to replace my other pickups, what do you guys suggest? I was thinking of doing an evo neck but then again i don't want to make my guitar vai'd out
thats for when i get a jem
But my dad suggested one of those dual blade middle pickups, because he had a G&L Invader with a dual blade middle, I know dimarzio makes different kinds and I dont really know my pickups
