Hey guys,,, in the follow pic is the pickup marked '1' the neck or bridge pickup?

Neck. Turn the image on it's side and it's representing where the pickups are on the guitar.

I did that but the connections seem to be going to the 'Bridge' Part of the selector switch?

Yes, but you've got to understand what the switch lugs actually do when thrown to that position
