help with coil tap

hi,

i got my american strat (SSS) with 2 air norton (n,b) and a fast track 1.

the sound is great and i´m now thinking in changing the volume pot with a a push pull to coil tap all pickups and have a semi-singlecoil configuration.

something like:

when push pull down:

1-full bridge
2-full bridge + full midle
3-full midle
4-full midle + full neck
5-full neck

(this is the actual configuration with the stock 5 way switch)

whe pull up the push-pull:

1-1 coil of bridge pu
2-1 coil of bridge + 1 coil from midle
3-1 coil from mid
4-1 coil from midle + 1 coil from neck
5-1 coil from neck pu

is this posible?......any diagram?

thanks a lot.

Re: help with coil tap

or instead the coil split should i add a parallel option?....or both?

push/pull or mini toggle?....

i love the tone i got now and it fits my style and genre perfect but also like to recover a cleaner sound for some recording stuff.

Re: help with coil tap

You could coil-tap two pickups with a single push-pull switch, but not all three. A parallel switch could only be done on one of the pickups with a single push-pull. Personally, I would just add a neck parallel option, but that depends on your style and needs. In addition, I find Fender knobs to be a bit difficult to grab for push-pull operation so I'd probably go with a mini-toggle, but again, that's just my preference.
