High Pass Filter

I just wired up my js100 to js1200 specs. This has a high pass filter. When done i tried it, I can't tell any difference in tone. Did I do something wrong?

Re: High Pass Filter

I could be wrong, but this is the mod that lets the highs through as you roll off the volume knob, right? It would be pretty hard to do that wrong, maybe it's just a very subtle difference unless the amp is cranked.

im pretty sure youre right there mate, I put that on a guitar of mine and it only works when you roll off the volume.
guitar425, try playing at around 4 and pop the filter on and off - you should be able to tell the difference.

Re: High Pass Filter

In one video I watched, Satriani used the push-pull to switch from distortion to a clean sound. I thought this was what I was getting.

He was probably going from full humbucking to coil-tapped in that case. The JS100 has such a push-pull switch, doesn't it?

Yes it did, on the tone control, but it was still overdriven even though it was in single coil mode.
