Okay, posting a sound clip here of my own work...

My question is, which pickup would I get in order to achieve this tone?

The other thing is, my playing is VERY strat-oriented (in other words, usually bright and scooped mids), so I need a pickup that could do this tone and Hendrix tone. I'm also open to any kind of wiring, i.e. coil tap, parallel, etc., I just have no clue what to do, hence why I'm here. And yes, this is my song and I did record this.

Funny, I was thinking EXACTLY that combo... Steves Special/HS-2/HFH

The guitar's going to be a warmoth swamp ash soloist or strat with a quilt maple lam top, H-S-H pickup config. But the guitar I recorded that on was (funnily enough) a mim fender strat with fender hot noiseless pickups.

whats wrong with the fender hot noisless pickups? it appears they would give you that sound...
