How's the blaze neck for soloing?

So I'm still hesitating between pickups.
I'm going to post different but more precise questions in different threads.
It's all in the title...

the blaze is great for solo IMO

and the blaze bridge isnt bad for chunk's either, seeing as how the mid's are scooped out

Hmm, and how would you compare it to the air norton?

The Blaze neck is similar to a PAF-Pro in tone, IMO. Basically, think Vai and Satch's neck pickup tones from like the early 90's. Which isn't a surprise, as the Blazes were designed when Vai was playing PAF-Pros.

The Air Norton is thicker and has more mids.

The Blaze neck pickup is one of the best solid body guitar pickups made, IMHO. To me anyway, it's right up there with Lindy Fralin's PAFs. It's a fantastic pickup, no question, and does everything well. I think the most important question is really whether or not it will go with your guitar. What are you thinking of putting it in, and what's it made of?
