Humbuckers In Strat

Hey.. I am modifying 2 strats that I got for a really low price..

The first is an older squire strat, I am putting 2 SD 59's (both neck pickups)..

They sent 2 necks by mistake, but i tried it and i Like the neck in the bridge, sounds a bit different.. I chose to put the other neck in the neck, because I want the output of the 2 pickups to be balanced.. I have heard strats that have a hotter pickup in the neck and I think it suonds like ****..

My second is a fender mexi strat.. I am putting 3 SDs in it.. a full shred in the bridge, jazz in the neck, and some vintage single in the mid..

I plan on posting pics of these guitars when they are finished, i still have a few more things i would like to do to them. Does anyone else have any relatively cheap guitars which they have hotrodded into decent axes.. Any suggestions for alternate pickup wiring? Do any of you guys use any of the pups I listed?

I just sold my SD pickups in my old Japanese Strat.

I had a Lil' Screamin Demon in the bridge, a Hot Rails in the middle, and a Lil' 59'ner in the neck.

I thought it sounded awesome! But since I already have a Les Paul and a Satriani guitar all with humbuckers, I sold the pickgaurd so I can stick 3 vintage style single coils in it.

I liked the 59 in the neck of my guitar and the Lil' Screamin Demon, but the Hot Rails I always had mixed feelings about. I probably should've gone with a Cool Rails or somethin.

all my s/s/s strats have hot rails...i love em. i have 3 total.

Personally, I think it isn't a strat unless it has a neck singlecoil. I'm a big fan of SSH, but the neck singlecoil on a 22-fret neck is what MAKES that sound.

As long as you're happy with the project though.
