Humbuckers reverse polarity? What would happen?

Hello, I've just rewired a guitar i bought of ****, an ibanez rg320dx with custom paint job.
On the ibanez site the wiring diagram link is broken so i found a similar one and cross referenced it with a photo.
They were the same apart from the pickup color wiring (the humbuckers only have a an earth braid, red and white wires)

Does it matter which way around the red and white are wired? As it is only a coil of wire?

You'll end up with weedy this out of phase sounds which are useless - that's simple - just reverse the two colours and the problem is gone!
