Ibanez ART300 pickup swap

Hello all, I'm thinking of getting an Ibanez ART300 but I really want to throw a set of Blackouts in there...has anyone else put EMG's or Blackouts in this guitar and used the dual AA battery compartment to store the 9 volt battery?

In short, does a 9 volt battery fit in the default battery compartment?
