Ibanez/Dimarzio Pickup wire colours
Hi, I'm just about to change the pickup in my rg565, open the cover and find that the colour codes don't match up with the standard Ibanez ones, This ibanez HB2 has black, yellow, red and blue wires.
I'm wanting to put in a dimarzio so what colour ibanez matches up with what colour dimarzio?

That diagram doesn't really help, I could do with finding which wire is doing what on the ibanez pickup.

OK. i did this once. If you are going for a standard series connection, solder the dimarzio black and white wires together, the green and bare to ground, and the red to the guitar's hot output connection. Then when you are done, if the pickup is out of phase, just solder red to ground and green to hot. I'm guessing you just need to know what the existing connections are.
The ground should be easy to find--just some wires soldered to the back of a pot. Then the hot output would be attached somewhere to your
toggle switch
. Hope this helps

Oh, and unsolder all connections, rather than cutting them

Just listen to them, if they are thin, weak and nazal sounding, they are out of phase.

I have wired up my JEM10th after "(Allparts model EP 0076-000) this is the best choice when installing a new 5-way, ......" - diagram.
Seems to me that the Evos has turned more to the treble side of the range. But if i follow the suggested diagrams, there should be no need for changing phase. The pickups shouldn´t differ or???
