Ibanez RG - 550.

Hi there..

I Have an Ibanez RG 550 series, and this is my first time to change the pickups from the original ones..

After reading the dimarzio comparision charts I finally decided for a Tone Zone at Bridge Position and Evolution at Neck.. will be a good match??

About the middle pickup which one would be better?? Maybe Pro Track or Fast Track II.. but what about the out put??, is too high for a middle??

I Really like the second and fourth position pickup, so I use the middle pickup a lot, but never as a single, always useing with the humbuckers..

Thanks a lot..

Re: Ibanez RG - 550.

I've been going through the same decision making process as well on a 570. I think I'm going to go with Evo2 bridge, YJM middle, PAF Pro neck. I think the lower output of the YJM will make that middle sing for the bluesy stuff I'd use it for.

try and HS-2, an HS-3, one of the Velvets (based on the two other pickups), or an Evolution middle

i love putting stacked singles in the middle of my guitars
in my 550 i have a HS-1
theyre very under-rated in my opinon

Re: Ibanez RG - 550.

Thanks... But what would be exactly the difference between set a Single-Coil
Strat or a Humbucking Strat as a Middle Pickup???

Keeping the Tone Zone as a Bridge PuP and the Evolution as Neck, of course...
