IBZ USA F1 pick ups....

my 89 540 radius came with IBZ USA F1 pick ups in both the bridge and neck. they were split coil in there as well. the body was basswood.

what dimarzio pickups do these compare to?

would they sound good in my Ibanez SZ320? mahogany body w/ maple cap.

any help is appreciated. i hope these will work as it would save me some money..

i kinda like the ibanez duncan pups but would like a bit fatter bigger sound, more les paulish.

They are closest to the Breed NECK model.

Re: IBZ USA F1 pick ups....

Yep,like JohnnyguitarCA said, basically they are Breeds.
They will sound fine in your S if you are looking for that classic warm rock tone from the bridge p/up.
If you are getting into more higher gain territory then look else where for that(F2/F4/TZ/EVO etc).
They are absolutely perfect for the neck position of any 22 fret mahogany guitar and give that sweet/warm tone we all love for sweeping etc.

I think they will be perfect for what you are looking for sonically and complement the maple capped mahogany beautifully. Im a metal guy and use the F1 as neck p/up in all my 22 fret mahogany axes, they rip neck wise and are very clean IMO.
