got a voltmeter? you can check for yourself.
set the voltmeter to measure resistance [ohms], turn the pot halfway up, and then test the resistance between the middle lug and either one of the outside lugs. if the pot is linear taper, the resistance will be about half the value of the pot [i.e. 500k pot, middle should read ~250k ohms]. if the pot is log aka audio taper, the resistance will either be much lower or much higher [depending on which outer lug you pick].
another way to run this test is to check the resistance to each outer lug, with the pot turned up halfway. if the two lugs show numbers roughly the same, it's linear, if they're way different, it's log/audio.
