HI!
I would like to know how the ĚNF3 and INF4 pickups compare itself to Dimarzio??
I'm a Super Distortion and PAF type.

I think the INF are a "toned" down versions of the
Tone Zone
, but retains the fat sound..that's the closest I can describe it.

Re: INF3 ET INF4 PICKUPS COMPARE TO DIMARZIO
the inf 3 and 4? sorry, but i gotta say YUCK on that combo. those are like the new powersounds. the inf 1 and 2 are ok, but the 3 and 4 are sloppy and loud. had them in the rg321's for about a second, i always had an AN/TZ pair to swap when i bought them. the 3 and 4 don't sound like any dimarzios. if i just had to compare, they would sound like a super distortion and x2n together, all the bad elements. loud, nasally, no definition. they are in fact better than the powersounds, so my statement earlier was a bit more brutal, but the inf 3 and 4 are just not great pickups. if i were in your place, i'd swap those pickups out. hell, a v1, v2 upgrade would be way better.

Re: INF3 ET INF4 PICKUPS COMPARE TO DIMARZIO
I recently replaced the INF3 and INF4 pick-ups in my Ibanez RG4EXFM1 with DiMarzio Evolution (neck & bridge) and I can tell you that it worths every penny! Unfortunately, I do not have any specs for the INFINITY pick-ups, but I can assure you - based on personal experience - that they are not very good at all! Before replacing them, I shielded all the cavities (pick-ups cavities and electronic parts cavity) with aluminium self-adhesive tape in order to get rid of any radio interferrence and then I used the wiring diagrams provided by DiMarzio.com (that for H-S-H configuration). One thing you should know is that the INF pick-ups have different colours for the wires compared to DiMarzio pick-ups as follows:
Ibanez INF 1 to 4 ---- DiMarzio
Black ----------------Green & Bare
Red ----------------- Black & White
White --------------- Red
ALWAYS ROCK!
Cheers,
Marius

Re: INF3 ET INF4 PICKUPS COMPARE TO DIMARZIO
agree with them sounding better than powersounds, but that doesnt say a lot still.
I replaced mine with a tone zone, and then later a d activator. And both dimarzios where like 10x cleaner sounding. ibanez is like no name pickups. The only stock pickups i didnt mind were from epiphone standard
