International Shipping for PuPs
So let me get this straight - if I want to buy a Breed for the neck of my 1570, and an Evo for the bridge, I can't buy in the US and just ship them over to Scotland?
Instead of paying roughly £80 for 2 cracking PuPs (including shipping), I need to pay £160 for 2 cracking PuPs because DiMarzio won't let anyone ship them internationally.
I'm sorry but that sucks.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
That probably only applies to "authorized" Dimarzio dealers....

Ummmm, I've bought pickups from several US *Bay stores and never had the slightest issue with getting them shipped down here to the end of the world...........

You may start having trouble. DiMarzio has been cracking down on the dealers ... even on the Bay.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
Yeah, i've totally crawled the internet, and just about every one i've come across say in their shipping policy that DiMarzio won't let them ship outside the US.
Thanks for the pm Martallica

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
Hey people
I have bought Dimarzio's from
http://www.universaljems.com/
They are currently on route to Australia. They don't seem to have problems sending Dimarzio to international locations.
And they are reasonably priced.
Il let you know when they arrive. I recently got an email from them saying that they have been shipped.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
Get the Dimarzio's shipped to a friend in the US (IE; a Jemsiter) and have them passed on to you. It's true, Dimarzio dealers in the USA are not allowed to ship outside the USA, and many of them won't do it.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
I use a service called MasterDelivery that gives you a shipping address in Miami Florida. It has worked nicely so far for me, their prices are good, and you don't have to pay a subscription fee.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
I'll need to double check, but i'm sure it's a Canadian delivery service.
I could try and find a UK based one though.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
I already wrote about this in another thread a couple of days ago. You can call dimarzio to the number on their website and explain that your local dimarzio distributer does not have what you are looking for. You give them your credit card details and they will send you what ever you want. I already done that 3 times without no problem at all. the only downside is that they charge list price, but what else can you do.

Re: International Shipping for PuPs
Well, the whole point of ordering from the US was to get them cheaper.....that's kinda the point of my first post.
I'm not phoning DiMarzio just so I can pay full UK list price. Might as well go and buy from a dealer over here.

I don't know what is the UK list price but when you call dimarzio you pay US list price in US dollars. also if you ask someone hear to buy them for you, like someone said earlier, by the time you pay shipping cost from the vendor to him and from him to you then they are not so cheap anymore. also good luck to you if you find someone that actually is willing to do that for you. I tried buying stuff from people here on the classified, and when it came down to actually send them payment they either hurt their leg and can't go to the postoffice to ship it, or they need to get toner to their printer to print shipping lables, and I don't hear back from them again.

Well, i'm not up for getting someone from the boards to send them over to me anyway.
The list price in the UK is roughly £80 per pickup, but if you buy them stateside, it works out to be £80 for 2 - Including shipping.
I was under the impression that phoning DiMarzio directly would involve them quoting a list-price based on the country that you are phoning from - as is usually the case when phoning a company directly, i.e: they will quote you a more expensive $US price to factor in the exchange rate......
The whole beautiful point about importing stuff from the US, is that because of the exchange rate, UK customers can pick up items cheaper - even with shipping. That's how I got my RG!!
If I can find an 'unauthorized' dealer in the US that is willing to ship, then great.
If not, i'll need to bite the bullet and simply go to my
local music shop
and buy over the counter.
