Hey folks,
I recently acquired a Duncan JB and Jazz Neck set and am putting it into my RG350. WHile I have done soldering before, my guitar wiring skills are quite novice. Anywho, I tried to follow the
wiring diagram off of the SD site, and could get a sound out of the JB in bridge and the stock middle, but nothing from the Jazz in Neck. The bridge and middle were at about a level output.
(Please excuse the crudeness of my Paint diagrams!)
So, then I started playing with the Jazz in different positions on the switch, but still nothing. I decided to compare to the original wiring of the stock pups, and hence tried my hand at matching that with the Duncans, resulting in:
With this configuration, there is output from all three pups, but the middle is overpowering the SD's. I've decided to go out to grab some supper, and hopefully come back with some fresh eyes and tackle this.
Can any wiring guru's help me out and point me in the right direction? I am only trying to replace the stock humbuckers. No splitting/tapping, and the stock middle has stayed.
Thanks in advance!
